Ventura County Surf Forecast – with a side of weaksauce
The Swell
Ventura will have a mix of small and fading NW swell (295-300) and some very background SW energy (200-220).
Waves
Average exposed breaks will drop to the ankle-knee high range on Thursday as the swell mix backs off and the high tide pushes through during midmorning. Top NW facing spots that can handle a higher tide, pick up a little of the SW swell, and offer unicorn rides on the beach, will be in the knee-waist high range on very inconsistent sets. Look for pretty much every spot to shut down as the 6’+ tide peaks around 10am.
Winds
Mostly light in the morning with some funky swirl action thanks to an approaching front. In general the morning wind will be in the 4-6 knot range out of the ESE-S. Afternoon winds pick up more out of the SSW in the 10-12 knot range.
Ventura Tides
03:32AM LST 2.5 L
09:51AM LST 6.4 H
05:32PM LST -0.6 L
