Ventura County Surf Forecast – Wednesday – A few softies

The Swell
The swell mix will back down more on Wednesday as the last of the NW energy (290-300) fades out and the weak SW swell (200-220) starts to drop off as well. Look for a touch of building local windswell through the afternoon but not enough to turn the dropping size around.

Waves
Look for the average NW facing breaks to be in the knee-thigh high range on Wednesday. The top NW facing spots, mostly through South County were it can pick up a touch of combo energy, will be in the knee-waist high range with a few chest high sets on the lower tides.

Winds
Mostly light and variable winds with just a few areas of minor texture for the morning. Look for some light/moderate W-WNW winds in the 10-12 knot range for the middle of the day and then lighter winds setting back up as we get close to sundown.
