Ventura County Surf Forecast – slowly building

The Swell
A mix of new NW swell (290-300) and local WNW windswell will start to slowly increase wave heights as we move throughout the day.

Waves
Look for some new size showing in the morning thanks to the new energy (and semi-lower tides). Average spots will be in the knee-waist high range while the top NW facing spots see some waist-chest high waves…maybe even a few chest high+ sets on the better high-tide breaks. Expect the bigger waves to be more consistent by the afternoon as the swell fills in a touch more and we head towards the lower tide.

Winds
Winds may be an issue…looks like there is a chance at some funky westerly flow that could spin up for the morning. Generally winds should be light/variable, particularly if your spot has some protection but watch for that morning bump. NW winds around 10-15 knots will build through by the afternoon.

Ventura Tides
12:15AM LST 3.5 H
04:15AM LST 2.8 L
10:39AM LST 6.1 H
06:32PM LST -0.4 L
