Ventura Surf Forecast - for Wednesday - 2/10/2010

Make sure to read the full region forecast it has more complete details on the incoming swell and regional conditions. Click here for the full forecast www.socalsurf.com.

Look for the mix of W-NW swell to continue to wind down on Wednesday, while some new NW windswell moves into the background of the swell mix.

The morning will start off slow…and a bit warlby thanks the combo of light onshore winds and high morning tide. Most spots will see surf in the waist-chest high range with some rarer shoulder high sets sneaking through. Standout breaks will be more consistently in the chest-shoulder high range with some head high sets on the lower tides. Look for the average spots to start the day with shape staying pretty slow to almost flat for the morning thanks to the fatter tide that peaks just after sunrise.

Winds aren’t going to be super helpful but there will be some semi-clean conditions early…and there will continue to be some rain moving in throughout the morning as well. Look for light/variable to variable-onshore flow for the morning. NW winds 10-20 knots will develop through the afternoon.

Here are the tides…
